Smash is conducting a comments challenge: Comment and win some gear. :)
The main server machine broke down after 3,500 comments because the page got so big. We then paginated the comments in a quick and dirty way – and voila… Everything went smoothly again without further hassle or changes. The machine is now handling 6,500+ comments without a flinch.
